Former Primer 55 vocalist Jason “J-Sin” Luttrell passed away last week after suffering from health issues in recent years and was said to be in poor health around the time of his passing.
He was the vocalist for Primer 55 from 1997-2003, appearing on their major label releases, “Introduction To Mayhem” and “(The) New Release“.
He left the band in 2003 after battling substance abuse and briefly returned in 2007.
He was diagnosed with Hepatitis C after contracting the disease from a blood transfusion that he received when he was 3 years old after being hit by a car. In an online post two years ago, he said that he had liver cancer.
He was only 40 years old.
