Ned’s Scary Flick Pick: 1408 (2007)

Now here is a pretty good movie that falls in line between thriller and horror flick.

Today’s Scary Flick Pick comes from the far distant past of 2007…so a little more recent than the other pics.

It’s 2007’s ‘1408’ featuring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson

The story this movie is based from? None other than the writer himself Stephen King. It’s based on a short story written by him from a collection named ‘Everything’s Eventual.’ It’s a story of a depressed writer that stays in a supposed ‘haunted’ rooms across the country and writes about them…but then he hears about room 1408 and he’s in for a really haunting and death defying experience.

I didn’t expect the movie to be that good actually, it was one of those movies I went to see because it was $5 night at my local theater, but we gave it a shot and I ended up REALLY liking it!

Give it a shot! You’re not gonna get super blood and gore, but you’ll get an interesting story of a room that just won’t let you leave.
