30 Years Ago, The Internet Started ‘World Wide Domination’

Imagine your life without the internet.

We’re talking no smart phones, no Netflix, no texting, no Hulu, no online gaming, no Facebook, no Amazon, NONE OF THAT! Amazingly, there was a time where we did not have the internet…where we actually had to communicate with humans face to face…I know, mind blowing.

30 years ago, the beginning of the World Wide Web began the change the world as we know it…and if you think the internet didn’t change everything? I’m not really sure you live on this planet.

Some of my favorite websites that I would frequently visit in those early days of the internet were:

  • Yahoo
  • Ebaumsworld.com
  • Newgrounds.com
  • Hotmail.com
  • Homestarrunner.com
  • NintendoPower.com
  • Ask.com
  • Ebay.com
  • MySpace.com

There oddly enough wasn’t a ton to do on the internet in the early days, but we didn’t know what the internet was going to be! As a radio guy, it’s mind blowing to think that all my friends can listen to me ON THE RADIO anywhere in the world.

Cheers to 30 more years, as the internet eventually becomes self aware and destroys us all…but you may as well continue to enjoy Rock 108 online at rock108.com
