Man Pulled from Truck on Flooded Road near Traer was Unconscious

The man Traer firefighters rescued from a partially-submerged truck on Ridge Road yesterday(Thur) was unconscious.

That, according to Fire Chief Tyler Sell, who has not revealed the man’s identity and says it appeared he had been in the vehicle for awhile.

His condition has not been released.

A passerby saw the vehicle yesterday(Thur) morning on the flooded roadway, which the county had closed earlier, due to deteriorating conditions.  After borrowing an end-loader to approach the pickup, crews determined it was occupied and retrieved the driver.

Sell says the frigid water was moving and was overflow from nearby Wolf Creek.
