City of Cedar Falls Sets Date for New Public Safety Bldg. Open House

The City of Cedar Falls has scheduled an open house for the new Public Safety Building, at 4600 South Main Street.   Mayor Jim Brown says the event is a week from this coming Monday, the 24th, from 4-7 pm, with a public ribbon-cutting at 4:15.

If you didn’t know, the Cedar Falls Fire Department will also be headquartered in the new building.

Fire Chief John Bostwick is quoted in a city news release saying that the proximity to Greenhill Road and Highway-58 will allow emergency responders to quickly get to several parts of the community, and Police Chief Jeff Olson says with fire and police under one roof, we can increase the efficiency of the Public Safety Department and the safety of the community.
