Welcome to Assville

Wednesday, May, 14 2014

An electronic road sign in New Jersey was hacked to say, “Assville Next Left". The sign was referring to the Jersey Shore. The mayor of Upper Township was offended and said the crew needs to have better security when it comes to the sign. Several residents who found the sign funny took to Twitter to show the prank off.
The person or persons responsible for changing the sign haven’t been found.

You can own Dracula's castle....

Tuesday, May, 13 2014

Dracula’s Castle – the real one in Transylvania – has gone up for sale. Nestled in the Romanian countryside, the spectacular Castle in Romania has a long list of previous owners, but its most famous occupant was Vlad “The Impaler,” a fearsome warrior who was imprisoned in the castle in the 15th century.

The castle is now owned by descendants of Britain’s Queen Victoria, who are all in their 70s, and no longer have the time and energy to carry out the renovations the castle needs. It currently has no toilets or bathrooms. The price is rumored to be around $85 million.

The mansion from Scarface is for sale

Tuesday, May, 13 2014

Remember the mansion in the 1983 movie Scarface that Al Pacino lived in? You can buy it….for ONLY $35 million.

Set in the hills of Montecito, Califorina (not Florida, as the film portrays), the estate comes with 10-acres of woodland, pools and the dazzling Mediterranean Revival-style home. The house itself boasts nearly 3,200 square feet of lavish rooms, including four bedrooms, a library, dining room with 24k gold leaf.

And don't worry about any damaged caused by the epic gunfight of Scarface's finale: the house has recently undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation.

Charts dealing with how soon we skip songs....

Monday, May, 12 2014

People’s attentions spans have gotten so short that we can’t even listen to an entire song.
Data from Spotify shows that nearly a quarter of all songs on get skipped within five seconds of starting, more than a third are skipped within 30 seconds and nearly half of all songs are skipped at some point.
And teens are much more likely to skip songs with females being slightly more likely to skip than men.

Reasons for the skippage? The first theory is that the skipping rate is an indication of how much free time a person has time. If you are in your 30s --- with your young children and demanding jobs, have no time to pay attention to  their music players.
