FLASKSCARF

Monday, May, 5 2014

For mothers who like to sip a drink, a guy from Utah has invented the FlaskScarf and says it’s the ideal Mother's Day gift. The fabric fashion accessory from Baxbo.com has a hidden foil bag with a mouth valve that can hold 8oz of alcohol for on-the-go boozing.

According to the website: '[It's] is everything you need to get your drink on and look good doing it. Don’t settle for just one, you deserve both! Just fill the scarf bladder' with your favorite drink, 'bite the valve', and 'drink and enjoy.'

The FlaskScarf was the brainchild of the same guy who invented the FlaskTie - a tie that allows you to secretly take alcoholic sips at work.

The price: $25.

Small Party + Twitter invite = over 2,000 people

Monday, May, 5 2014

A Canadian kid got his parent’s permission to throw a house party at his parents' mansion which is currently under construction. The boy’s parents said he could have a few friends over but he posted an invite on Twitter and more than 2,000 people showed up.

Partiers were using ladders and shattering windows to get inside the mansion. The home suffered over $70,000 worth in damage.   It has been under construction for several years.

Police said no one was hurt and were shocked the balconies and stairways didn’t collapse from all the weight. They handed out several charges for assault and public intoxication.

ROCK REPORT MONDAY 5/5

Monday, May, 5 2014

A custom-made $10,000 guitar that was stolen from Zakk Wylde’s tour bus has been returned to the rocker. His Blue Bullseye Gibson was swiped after a show in Chicago in March. It turned up at a pawn shop where the TV show “Hardcore Pawn: Chicago” is filmed. An employee originally paid around $50 for the guitar but the owners quickly realized the instrument was something special, identified it and got in touch with Zakk Wylde’s manager.

The guitar is one of two Pelham Blue Les Paul guitars bearing Wylde’s signature bulls-eye pattern and was custom-made for the guitarist in 2010.

The ROCK REPORT is sponsored by C.R.I.C. JOB RUSH.COM – There’s a job rush in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. With close to 900 jobs listed now, find a great job now at C.R.I.C. JOB RUSH.COM

GRILLBOTS!

Friday, May, 2 2014

There’s a new robot that can clean your grill. The Grillbot has a trio of rotating brass brushes and dances around your grill while scraping away all the grease and grime.

Once Grillbot is done, the brushes can be detached and thrown in the sink for easy cleaning. They're also dishwasher-safe if you feel like doing even less work.

It’s made of heat-resistant plastic and can supposedly withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees. The Grillbot costs $129.95.
