'90s Flashback

Thursday, Jan, 16 2014

In the above video, taken from a shopping mall in the 1990's, families browse books, order ice cream, and walk the mall in some questionable outfits. Watch for: bucket hats, slap wrists bracelets, overalls, scrunchies, and lots of neon.

*The thing I noticed --- this is before smart phones --- so everyone I walking around talking to each other and not staring at their phones.

A man and his huge ball

Wednesday, Jan, 15 2014

A 35-year-old New York man has spent the last 32 years of his life adding to his rubber band ball that now weighs over 250 pounds.

The ball is made up of over 5,000 rubber bands. Whenever people ask him about his achievement he assures them he isn't a virgin, has a job and he won't go to the top of his roof to push it off.

His rubber-band ball is NOT a record though….some other guy has a masterpiece made of over 700,000 bands and measures seven feet tall.
