Well, it's hard to believe it's nearing November already. Where did this year go?! We're only 5 weeks from Thanksgiving and Black Friday. You know what that means - Christmas music EVERYWHERE. Yep, pretty soon your balls will be jingled. Even on Rock108.com - we'll be giving you the option to listen to Bing Crosby instead of Five Finger Death Punch. I suppose if you're at work and listening to us on the stream, you can always switch it to our Christmas stream rather than 5FDP. Perhaps your boss will see you in a whole new light! Our Christmas music stream begins on Friday, November 1st. So, if you are really jonesin' for Nat King Cole, we'll have that option available for you.
More new rock on your radio this week. Stone Sour's "Tired" is another hit for these guys. It sounds great on the radio......I know we've been playing it forever, but Avenged Sevenfold's "Hail To The King" was such a monster smash for the band and we've been playing it for quite awhile. You'll be happy to know that I added "Shepherd Of Fire" this week, so you'll hear fresh AX7 on the radio!......A band we've supported since 2008 and others have not in eastern Iowa - Royal Bliss. I have put in their new track, "Cry Sister" and it sounds like this song might do well for the guys from Salt Lake City. Neal Middleton and his bandmates have come up with a catchy song. It's availalable on iTunes as of TODAY......I addeed some other new tunes this week and I'll be curious to hear what you think of them. The first is a band called Starset. They are from Columbus, Ohio and seem a bit interesting. See what you think of the track called, "My Demons". Pretty cool I think........Black Veil Brides return for another single from their 'Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones' album. The song is "We Don't Belong'......also, of all things in 2013 - MOTORHEAD?! Yep. Lemmy and Co. are back with a new album ('Aftershock') and we're gonna play "Heartbreaker", the lead single. This is a band who formed in 1975(!) and it's their 21st album......Let any of us know what you think of the new tunage. It's always good to get feedback.
