UPDATE: Police Release Name of Latest Waterloo Shooting Victim

19-Year Old Struck in Alley Behind 1100 Block of Columbia

Another shooting and another injury in Waterloo last(Weds) night and it could've been worse.

Police say 19-year old Trevel Altman-Aron was standing near the back of his house in the 1100 block of Columbia Street a little after 9:45 pm, when someone began shooting from a car that was driving down the alley.

Altman-Aron was hit by the gunfire in one arm and his chest and he was taken to UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital.

The home on Columbia was also hit, as were two vehicles parked behind it, and a house near the corner of Parker and Lincoln was also struck by the bullets.

Waterloo investigators say they found two different calibers of shell casings, so more than one gun was used.

Altman-Aron is the 5th person to be injured by gunfire in Waterloo since early Sunday morning. No arrests have been made.
