Those First 10 Season of 'The Simpsons' Were the Best
0 0

Do you still watch The Simpson's? I don't know, I just haven't been into them like I was back in the day.

The Simpsons is one of the longest running sitcoms of all time, actually I think it may be THE longest. At one point in the 90's, it was a cultural phenomenon. Every one was saying 'Eat my shorts' or 'Don't have a cow man.' But since then the Simpsons has evolved, because it had to keep up with shows like Family Guy, South Park, and all of those topical shows that get raunchier and more out there. The Simpsons though, did set that standard.

But today, are they as good as they were back in the day? In my opinion...

The animation style changed, Homer is dumber, and I guess I just don't feel it anymore.

Once I get past that 10th season, I just kinda lose interest in it.

Something about those old episodes just had something to them. Some examples...

  • Homer meeting a losing his mother in one episode.
  • Mr. Burn's getting shot.
  • Homer getting fat to work at home.
  • Wondering if Bart is gay.
  • That episode with all of the Star Baseball players and Ken Griffey Jr. drinking Brain Tonic.
  • Sideshow Bob VS. the rake

I feel like the show in it's first 10 seasons had the best writing. I'm not saying that the show is bad or anything, but those first 10 seasons are just golden.

Agree with me or not, it's just opinion man.

Just to back up my statement,'s Top 10 Simpsons episodes? ALL take place in the first 10 seasons.

Hey, this is Ned. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI...yes, Beer City USA and moved to Iowa to rock it out at Rock 108. Started my radio career in Grand Rapids and attended Eastern Michigan University for broadcasting, so I guess that worked out for me.
