Do you remember this 90's music device?

On my drive in to work this morning I heard James Patrick talk about how he remembers when we could start streaming music about 15-20 years ago and how he would also buy artists singles on a cassette tape. This got me reminiscing about the ways I listened to music growing up as a child in the 90's and I remembered what my favorite little gadget was!

HitClips! They were this little CD-player type device that was very tiny, had it's own built in headphones, and a keychain to be able to connect all your little pod's of music onto. They played maybe 30's seconds of each song and had the album cover on the front (which you can see in the attached photo). Mine was definitely filled with lots of Brittney Spears and Backstreet Boys like most girls in the 90's. HitClips did featured only the hippest artists from the 90's and early 2000's. Ahhh the good old days.

Thanks to my mom and dad for raising me on Rock N Roll, I have ventured from Chicago to come rock out with the best of Iowa. If you're trying to find me outside the studio your best bet will be front row at a concert, behind a camera lens, or hidden away behind a book...and maybe a bar or two ;)
