A7x, Breaking Benjamin, and Bullet for my Valentine Take Over Cedar Rapids

This past Friday, Aveneged Sevefold, Breaking Benjamin, and Bullet for My Valentine took over the Cedar Rapids US Cellular Center and performed to a sold out crowd. This was my 2nd time getting to see A7x but my 1st time seeing them headline their own show, and they do not disappoint!

Sadly, I missed Bullet's set due to filming Ned's interview with A7x's guitarist Synyster Gates before the meet and greet with the full band. The entire band was so friendly and excited to get to meet some of their fan's and it was a truly amazing thing to get to experience!

Finally made it into the crowd for Breaking Benjamin to find out that their vocalist, Benjamin Burnley was under the weather. This did not stop the band from putting on a rocking performance that kept the entire crowd moving. They even ended their set by bringing all of the kid's in the crowd on stage to rock out with them!

A7x finally take to the stage, which was an amazing set up with about 5 led panel's showing off movie like visuals and close up's of the musicians. The evening of the show landed on what would have been the band's original drummer, James Owen Sullivan's (known on stage as The Rev), 37th birthday so the band played an amazing tribute to the late drummer. The photo attached are from the visuals playing during So Far Away, showing off a heartfelt interview with The Rev. The band performed fan favorites like Nightmare and even started the show off with Hail to the King. OVerall the show was the perfect way to rock out on a Friday evening!

Thanks to my mom and dad for raising me on Rock N Roll, I have ventured from Chicago to come rock out with the best of Iowa. If you're trying to find me outside the studio your best bet will be front row at a concert, behind a camera lens, or hidden away behind a book...and maybe a bar or two ;)
