PROSPECT HILL - Boston, MA

Hailing from an area just 20 minutes north of Boston, Prospect Hill was using hand-me-down instruments and old equipment while playing shows for audiences that consisted mostly of family and friends.
Fast forward to the present. Prospect Hill's new "Impact" CD was produced by Anthony J. Resta (Collective Soul, Duran Duran.) They had a song with a contribution by Tony Rombola, the guitarist for Godsmack. They also won High Times Magazine's Best Independent Act of 2010 and played at SXSW in Austin, TX.
Prospect Hill is heading out on a national tour that will bring them to venues in the midwest.
BRIAN'S TAKE: The new CD "Impact" is produced very well. The mix is fantastic.
The album has many facets. Heavy moments intertwined with a solid rock vocal. Stand-out tracks include "Townie," "Come Alive," "Time," and "Reach."

What is UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED?
UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED is a show that is dedicated to featuring unsigned, original rock bands. It is our goal to help those bands in making it to that next step, whatever it may be for them.
Your host, Brian Marshall, showcases music and information from emerging unsigned artists from Iowa and around the world. We have also had a series of UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED Live shows at local venues. These shows give our unsigned acts a chance to showcase themselves to a new and music-hungry audience.
UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED airs Saturday nights at midnight on ROCK 108.
How can my band get on UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED?
Send your most recent material on CD along with a press kit (bio about the band, contact information, pictures, recent concerts) to the following address:

Media mail via USPS is an affordable option. Any CDs sent to us, will become the property of KXEL Broadcasting Inc. These CDs will be used for this program and will not be returned. Any submission that arrives 'postage due' will be returned to sender.
What do you mean by "unsigned?"
This show is meant to help out bands that haven't had their big break yet.
We ask 3 questions of any band who is trying to be on UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED:
1. Has your band received any compensation or considerations from a record label, of any size? This would include advances, loans, or donations.
2. Has your band received airplay nationwide on a syndicated radio show or on satellite radio? Internet radio or cable radio is not an issue.
3. Has your band's CD been distributed regionally or nationwide into brick-and-mortar retailers by a record label or distribution company? Bands that sign consignment deals or work out a agreement on their own, are still eligible for this show.
I sent my material to you already. When will my band be on the show?
Patience, grasshopper...UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED shows will strive to feature those who submit material, provided that it makes sense on ROCK 108. I make no guarantees other than I will listen to every piece of unsigned music that comes across my desk. Some will make the cut, some won't.
How can I get a copy of the show my band was on?
UNSIGNED & UNLEASHED programs will be available for download the week following the program. Each program will be available for several days after it becomes available.
