Old commercials fascinate the hell out of me…
I can pretty much guarantee that you remember at least 4 different commercials from either your childhood, teenage years, or even just now. I grew up in the 90’s where the whole ‘COOL’ fad was hitting the ads…just watch anything that features some kind of colorful beverage like Capri-Sun, Surge, or whatever…that was the 90’s….everything was colorful and cool.
Have you ever typed in your decade of commercials and just watched on YouTube? Now…let’s get crazy, type in your state you live in and see what you find. I did just that, and found a small treasure trove of classic commercials, news broadcasts, etc.
This one is fun…what did downtown Cedar Rapids feature in 1986? These places.
Probably one of my favorite is this news broadcast from August 11, 1994 from KWWL TV7….but here is the crazy part! I suppose in 1994, Rock 108 took part in giving a boat away named the ‘Classic Bayliner Giveaway,’ and KWWL announced a Semi-Finalist that night named Sheila Stainbrook! I wonder if Sheila won the boat….who won the boat?!?
