Many more closures have come due to COVID-19, and it’s gonna be awhile until we can all come together again.
However last night, a group of friends and I gave something a shot and it worked PERFECTLY!
Have you ever played Jackbox Games before? If you haven’t, Jackbox games are basically digital board games, but with a twist! From the makers of ‘You Don’t Know Jack,’ they have created 6 Jackbox Party Packs of games for your whole groups of family and friends to enjoy! So what do you need to play Jackbox games?
- Your Phone (or something that you can log onto the internet with)
- TV
- Something to buy the game on
Don’t fear! You do not need a $300 game console to play this….if you have either PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Apple TV or iPad, Amazon Fire TV, Epic Games, Comcast Xfinity, Mac Store, or Android TV? You can play Jackbox games. CLICK HERE FOR THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE! Now….this game is NORMALLY played in large groups and if you’re having a party? Jackbox is amazing for them! However, no parties just yet….so how do you do it????
Step 1: Have someone buy one of the Party Boxes and have it play on their TV, and start a ZOOM Meeting (it’s free for now) with anyone who wants to play!
Step 2: Turn a webcam towards that TV, and everyone enlarge that ZOOM screen on your Laptop/Phone/iPad/Etc.
Step 3: Everyone LOG INTO the Jackbox game from your phone, and let hilarity ensue.
This does require a little bit of tech on both ends, but with how everything is these days? Chances are you have at least 2 or 3 phones in your house….if not? Then it may not work for you.
Seriously, if you can get this working? This is a TON OF FUN! My friends plan to grow the group this weekend, and I’m excited!
