Slipknot Cancels All Summer Touring for 2020

By Tim Martin May 14, 2020 | 10:06 AM

Well there goes a big one.

More and more bands are sadly  being forced to cancel their massive tours due to COVID-19. While many states are considering on opening up, only select places are able to do so. Places for public gathering and concerts? It may be quite some time.

Sadly this does affect the touring year for Iowa’s Slipknot, as the band announced that they will be cancelling all summer touring for 2020. This includes their Knotfest Roadshow and their Knotfest At Sea Cruise.

With Slipknot recently releasing their album ‘We Are Not Your Kind,’ this is a MAJOR blow to them setting out to further market that album. Just a little behind the scenes? When bands release albums? They NEED TO TOUR to promote….sell t-shirts, tickets, etc….it’s all a machine that circles around.

Who knows, the Fall season may look different, but not likely…
