Let’s Add “I Read an Article…” to Questionable Statements.

You know those things that you say to prove a fact or make an excuse for something?

You’ve said them, of course you have…you’re a human being after all, it’s only natural!

5 popular quotes that you should always question are…

  • They say….
  • I assumed…
  • You know…
  • Like….
  • So…

Most likely, these 5 words or statements could define whatever it is you say. How do you know? Who is they? Why did you assume? What do I know? Lately though, there has been one that I have heard nearly everyday, and with social media and coronavirus taking over everything, let’s add…

  • I read an article…

This little statement at the beginning of sentence could either REALLY validate, or really INVALIDATE whatever it is you say. Did you actually READ the article or just the headline? Where did the article come from? Was it a reputable source? What makes a source reputable?

I have seen so many arguments spawn thanks to the whole ‘I read an article…’ thing. This could go anywhere from popular culture, music news, politics, etc.

Just food for thought.
