The 'Wizard Of Oz' is Being Remade, Cause Nothing is Sacred

Well that’s a horse of a different color.

Because Hollywood is seemingly running out of ideas, the next classic story to be remade for the big screen is none other than the timeless classic ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ cause nothing is sacred.

The film will be directed by ‘Watchmen’ director Nicole Kassell to which she was quoted, “I am exhilarated and humbled by the responsibility of re-imagining such a legendary tale. These are profoundly iconic shoes to fill, and I am eager to dance alongside these heroes of my childhood as we pave a newly minted yellow brick road!”

I mean, does such a classic iconic film need the remake treatment? What was so unique about the original was it’s groundbreaking (for the time) colors, costuming, and effects. The story of course is TIMELESS, but I dunno…I applaud the director if she can pull it off, but I sense we COULD have another ‘Cats’ at the box office.

OK maybe not that bad….if anything they should remake that insane movie ‘Return to Oz.’ Like seriously, what the hell was that movie???
