Ned’s Coffee & Quarantine with Waylon Reavis of A Killer’s Confession

By Tim Martin Mar 1, 2021 | 11:34 AM

So cool to talk to this guy again!

I have been a Mushroomhead fan for years, it’s the band I have seen over 30 times. I got into them when a new lead singer took over the ‘gutteral’ vocals, replacing the original guy J-Mann, and his name was Waylon Reavis. What was so awesome about him is that Waylon could go back and forth between smooth clean singing, and then gring your ears with a blast screaming vocal….the dude is talented as hell and really showcased what that band could evolve into, Mushroomhead’s ‘Savior Sorrow’ is still I feel their best album. However, over the years Waylon has departed from MRH and I wondered what the heck that dude was gonna do…he’s too talented to be sitting in the background. Thus, we have his group ‘A Killer’s Confession’ and a singer (Waylon) that should be held higher on the pedestal.

Awesomely enough? AKC has a radio single that we are playing on Rock 108 now named ‘Remember,’ and even better? Waylon and I grabbed a cup of coffee while his band is held up in quarantine and we caught up for nearly an hour! So what did we chat about?

  • His love for his amazing wife Julie
  • Living in Florida vs. the cold ass Midwest
  • Video Games
  • Tattoos
  • Kids

This Coffee and Quarantine is fun as hell, check it out below!

Just for the heck of it, here is the first time that I interviewed Waylon…..ALL the way back 9 years ago!
