VH1's 'Behind the Music' Was An Awesome Show

By Tim Martin Aug 6, 2020 | 1:13 PM

I keep hearing about these shows that are getting rebooted and such.

You know what they should bring back though? VH1’s Behind the Music.

I LOVE music documentaries, and Behind the Music was exactly that! Inside looks of our favorite musicians and bands, the rise, the falls, and the true stories of some of these bands that we listen to every single day. Some of them are insanely fascinating…I mean, take a look at the success of Motley Crue’s ‘The Dirt’ on Netflix! Clearly people want to hear these crazy stories of their favorite bands.

Honestly though, things have changed drastically in the music world though. Thanks to things like social media and instantaneous news, is there really room for a full TV show about the history of Tool? Five Finger Death Punch? Chevelle? Just ask ANY band out there today what they do when they’re out on tour. Many of them hang out on the bus, have families, or play video games. But that’s not to say I wouldn’t want to hear about it, like a where are they now kinda thing about Queen, KISS, etc….but again, social media kinda covers that pretty well.

Maybe a history of music events? Like Woodstock ’99? The time that so and so did this? There are possibilities.
