National Cheeseburger Day – Describe The Perfect Burger

By Tim Martin Sep 18, 2020 | 9:03 AM

Okay, here’s the thing… I RARELY eat cheeseburgers.  It’s not because I don’t LOVE them, it’s because I’m always watching my waistline (and buttline haha).  If I do happen to get a burger, here’s how I like it:

Medium well, pepper jack cheese, spicy brown mustard, bread & butter pickles, tomato, lettuce and a fancy bun of some kind.  That’s it!  Pretty basic.

I DO want to eat at Black Sheep Social Club in Cedar Rapids, because they serve a Smoked Blueberry Burger!  Check out their menu HERE.

Did you know that the cheeseburger was invented by mistake in Pasadena, California, in 1924?? The story goes that a guy named Lionel Sternberger was working at his dad’s hamburger stand just outside of L.A. when he burned one side of a burger and covered it with cheese.

How do you eat your burger??
